ABOUT

I am an education scholar and policy analyst from southern California. My research explores questions of family, mobility, and opportunity, investigating how educational ambitions motivate and complicate families’ transnational experiences. I am currently an American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Leading Edge Fellow with the Presidents' Alliance on Higher Education & Immigration.

I earned my Ph.D. in Anthropology & Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2023. My dissertation project was funded by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, the NAEd/Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship, the Teachers College Education Policy Dissertation Fellowship, and grants from the Dean's, President's, and Provost's offices at Teachers College .

I am currently based in Washington, D.C.
